It is designed to replace traditional copper direct attach cables (DACs) for longer reaches (typically 10 to 30 meters) while offering lighter weight, smaller bend radius, and superior EMI immunity. The assembly is compliant with the QSFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) SFF-8436 standard and supports the IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 protocol.
